01Integration — HubSpot

Your CRM stays the system of record. We just do the writing.

Connect HubSpot with read-only OAuth, pull any list into the draft wizard, and map the finished drafts back into your sequences as merge fields. No writes, no sending, no surprises.

02How it connects

Three steps, and the second one is picking a list.

Connect
Pick a list
Draft
01Step

Connect

Authorize with standard OAuth. The scopes are read-only by design: we only ask for read access to your lists and contacts — nothing else.

Read-only scopes

02Step

Pick a list

Import any HubSpot list straight into the draft wizard. Shared imports dedupe across your team, so two reps never draft to the same contact.

Team-aware dedupe

03Step

Draft

The list runs through the same six-step wizard as any CSV: brief, sample, live research per contact, QA, and export.

Same engine, no re-upload

Read-only· By design

“We only ask for read access to your lists and contacts.”

That’s the whole permission grant. SimpleSend can’t edit a contact, can’t touch a workflow, and can’t send a thing — because the scopes don’t allow it. The least-privilege connection isn’t a settings toggle; it’s the only mode there is.

Read-only scopesNo writes to your CRMNever sends
03Import

Any list. No CSV export, no re-upload.

Pick any HubSpot list and it lands directly in the draft wizard — same column mapping, same pre-flight checks, same approval gate as an uploaded CSV.

Imports are team-aware: shared HubSpot imports dedupe across your team, so when two reps pull overlapping lists, each contact is drafted once — not once per rep.

04The way back

Drafts return as merge fields, not risk.

The exported CSV uses stable headers — step_1_subject, step_1_body, and so on — that map as merge fields into HubSpot sequences and workflows. Build the mapping once, reuse it every campaign.

SimpleSend never sends from your HubSpot. You export a CSV and send from the tools you trust, so your deliverability and sender reputation stay entirely in your hands.

Same headers on every export · HTML, plain, or markdown links

CRM-agnostic by design

The same export works alongside whatever else your team runs:

05Chrome extension

Talk tracks, right on the contact record.

The Chrome extension surfaces SimpleSend’s five-beat cold-call cards directly on HubSpot contact records — opening, pain point, signal, question, CTA — drafted from your team’s playbooks and shared across the team.

Open a contact, and the card for that contact is already there. How the extension works →

Priya? Sam from SimpleSend — I'll keep it to a minute. I emailed about the hiring push.

  2. 02Pain point

Growing go-to-market this fast usually means first-touch email quality slips first.

  3. 03Signal

What HubSpot admins ask first.

Read-only OAuth

No write access

Never sends

  • We only ask for read access to your lists and contacts. The connection is standard OAuth, and it's read-only by design — SimpleSend can pull a list into the draft wizard, and that's the full extent of what the scopes allow.

  • No. The integration has no write access, so it can't edit contacts, touch workflows, or change anything in your CRM. Drafts leave SimpleSend as a CSV with stable step_N_subject and step_N_body headers that you map as merge fields yourself — you stay in control of exactly what enters HubSpot.

  • SimpleSend never sends. You export a CSV and send from the tools you trust, so your deliverability and sender reputation stay entirely in your hands. That applies to HubSpot sequences and workflows just like any other sender.

  • SimpleSend pricing is usage-based, with plans from $25/mo. Pay for output, not for seats — you pay for the drafts you generate, not for which tools you connect.
